• The Challenge Standing Out in One of the Most Crowded Corners of Google

Search for image to text or JPG to Word and you will find many similar tools, including established brands with years of links behind them. JPGtoText faced high-volume keyword competition, thin tool pages, multilingual demand and unstable early-year traffic. Monthly users rose to around 230,000 in February before falling back to about 140,000 in March.

The goal was steady, compounding growth: useful pages for distinct converter intents, helpful context around the tool, multilingual SEO, technical foundations and relevant content and links.

Google Analytics 4, 1 January – 22 August 2024: 327K monthly active users by 22 August, roughly 2.3x the approximate January level. The June peak of approximately 390K is a graph reading. These are active-user figures, not an organic-search attribution percentage.

A page for every real search intent.

Helpful content around each tool without slowing it down.

Global reach through multilingual SEO.

Authority from useful content and relevant links.

One Tool, Many Search Intents

People don’t just search “OCR”. They search “convert screenshot to text”, “JPG to Word editable”, “extract text from image in Arabic” or “HEIC to JPG”. Each is a different need – and an opportunity to build a focused, useful page.

Keyword & intent research

Conversion-related searches grouped by file format, use case and language, giving each converter a distinct search purpose.

Worked on page speed, mobile Core Web Vitals, site architecture, XML sitemaps and crawl management. SoftwareApplication and FAQ structured data provided additional context.

Content Marketing

Published practical content about OCR and document tasks, with internal links to the relevant converter pages.

From Around 140K to 327K Monthly Users

Monthly active users more than doubled

Monthly active users grew from approximately 140,000 in January to 327,000 by 22 August 2024 – roughly 2.3 times the starting level.

Growth that held

After an early-year dip, growth began in late April. Monthly users passed 300,000 in May, peaked at approximately 390,000 in June and remained above 300,000 through July into August.

Weekly users grew too

Weekly active users rose from around 40,000 at the start of the year to 68,000 by August.

What Made the Difference

Every tool became an entry point

Dedicated converter pages could serve their own searches, spreading discovery across the tool library rather than relying on one homepage keyword.

Useful content around the tool

Short guides and FAQs gave search engines context without interrupting visitors who wanted to convert a file.

Thinking globally

Multilingual pages addressed demand beyond English, with translations and language signals supporting the right audience.

Speed matters for tools

Fast access helps visitors complete their tasks and gives them a reason to return.

Lessons You Can Apply to Your Tool

Build a page for each intent

Give every important search need a focused page with genuine value.

Don’t leave tool pages empty

Add instructions, use cases and FAQs beneath the tool.

Consider multilingual demand

If the product serves several languages, make the content useful in those languages too.

Measure active users

Look beyond traffic spikes to understand sustained product use.

Expect early ups and downs

Review changes over a meaningful period rather than treating one month as the whole story.
